Introducing Lana Knaapen

Hailing originally from Christchurch, Lana formally trained as an Interior Décor Consultant and initially worked for Adams Mines & Co as an interior consultant and soft furnishings specialist servicing all of their residential clients as well having a hand with some of the larger hotel projects they managed. Moving to the major firm of Dore’s Flooring & Furnishings she rose to become the Assistant Manager and was responsible for all design and project management work for their new-build clients as well as those refurbishing or developing existing properties.

Lana has had a longstanding relationship with the New Zealand Defence Force and was a serving naval officer for twenty-four years, twelve of those in the regular force. Finishing her time with the NZDF as the Military Assistant to the Commander Joint Forces New Zealand, it was time for a change in career path and a permanent move to Upper Hutt where she currently lives.

In the five years since, Lana has consistently proven herself as one of the top agents at Gillies Realty and has been nationally recognised by the Professionals brand as one of the top agents in New Zealand. Evident of her military background you will find Lana to be efficient with an exceptional attention to detail and she demonstrates a strong focus on service and integrity.

"When not looking after my client base, my husband and I have 10 acres in Mangaroa Valley that keeps us pretty occupied. And when time allows we love nothing better than to take off for a couple of days on 'Bob' the bus with our awesome 15 year old dog Toebee. As keen motorcyclists, that's another option also...but only on nice days!"
