Len and his wife, Bronnie, departed from the South Island in February 2010 bound for Rotorua to restart their lives among friends and family.
“I had sold my shares in a company in Dunedin and had resigned as branch manager, Nelson. A long story, but in pure essence the North Island Beckoned,” says Len.
“Bronnie and I had decided our immediate future rested in Rotorua, so we packed up and headed home. Rotorua had been home since arriving in 1982 untill our departure for Christchurch in 2001,” adds Len.
Len had previously practised real estate froom 1995 through to 2001, just before a career change to living in Christchurch City followed by Nelson in 2005.
Whilst working and living in Christchurch, Len and Bronnie Pemberton built a home on the Milns Estate in Halswell. “Bronnie worked at Princess Margaret Hospital and I was responsible for developing business in Papanui, Christchurch City Central and southern territories as far as Lake Tekapo,” says Len.
“Within 18 months I had turned that business into ‘knocking on the doors of a one million turnover’ at around 34% profit, Not bad for a Rotorua boy,” adds Len.
Since joining McDowell Real Estate Limited I have enjoyed many rewarding experiences.
On many occasions, Len has featured in the top 100 Monthly Honours recently in 12th and 15th placing, nationally in Lists and in Sales.
“I back myself in selling and work very closely with my sellers. Buyers will always be attracted to good houses that they perceive as their future home,” adds Len.
