Prior to Real estate Redvers worked in the IT industry and holds an NZCAD qualification in Architectural Draughting. Redvers is a keen sportsman having played rugby league as a professional in the English ranks between 1989 and 1994. Prior to that he represented his local clubs Glenora, Mount Albert and New Lynn Rugby League, Blockhouse Bay Utd and Green Bay Titirangi Utd Soccer.

He has represented New Zealand in the NZ Masters TAG team and is a member of the Henderson Squash Club.
