About Shirley

Shirley Winiata has been in real estate for over 28 years and still enjoys it immensely. She had her own real estate company until the Super City Council carried out a full refurbishment of the Papatoetoe City Centre Mall, which required all businesses to vacate. This was when she joined Haron & Co Professionals Papatoetoe.

Family is the most important thing to Shirley, and being in real estate has allowed her to be hands-on. She has two beautiful children, both inside and out, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and two beautiful grandchildren—what more could she need?

Over the years, Shirley has met people from all walks of life and has been invited into their homes, their biggest and most important asset. In many instances, these clients have become friends. She has enjoyed helping people whether it’s upsizing, downsizing, moving to a new area, or excitingly buying their first home.

Shirley is a good listener and takes the time to understand what her clients need to get there, from appraising their home to selling or buying again—or sometimes not. She understands this can be a stressful but exciting time. Her motto has always been: getting clients the best-selling price possible for their home, not just any price.

Since 1994, we have proudly supported the Child Cancer Foundation, a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts. Over the years, we have raised over $5.6 million to help the Foundation continue their amazing work, and we are honoured to be a “Superhero” Partner.  
 
For every house we sell, we donate to the Child Cancer Foundation. Additionally, we actively participate in the Annual Street Appeal, Wig Wednesday, and various other fundraising events throughout the year. We believe that every child deserves a chance to live a healthy and happy life, and we are committed to making a difference.
